Villa Ephrussi de Rotschild
Welcome to the most gorgeous place at the Cote d' Azur, between Nice and Monaco. It's a villa from a lady who loved the South but wanted to combine the Northern French art of decorating with the warmth of the South. It's located at Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat (83). You can find other fancy villas as well there, but this one is the biggest and most stunning.
The entire villa is pink. Okay, I must admit, I totally dislike anything pink...but to be honest, I really liked the look of this house though.
The price of the visit was 11 euros reduced and 14 euros full price. Our visit lasted for three and a half hours because the house is so big and the garden even bigger.
In the garden you had different corners, like a Spanish one, a Japanese one, a corner with huge cacti,... all so cosy and gorgeous. The flowers were stunning!
This is me, in front of the villa, view from the back of the garden. It kinda reminded me of Versailles. The house and garden are about 110 years old and super well renovated! The fountains were still active and the water danced on the rhythm of beautiful chambre music.
Oh boy, this interior. So pretty. Can you tell that I love vintage? I would totally want to live in this house and never change it. But then, I'd have to be a super rich baroness, from a family of bankers.. Oh well, dream on Steph!
By the way, you can rent this location for parties?!!! I don't wan't to get married... but maybe here, I'd want to haha, just for the location only.

OPENING TIMES
The Villa is open 365 day a year from 10 a.m to 6 p.m, except: July and August: from 10 a.m to 7 p.m From November to January: from Monday to Friday from 2 p.m to 6 p.m. / weekends and holidays from 10 a.m to 6 p.m. Last admission 30 minutes before closing.
The cultural gift shop is open during the Villa’s opening times.
The tea room is open from 11 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. from February to October and only weekends, holidays and bank holidays from November to February.

The Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild overlooks the Bay of Villefranche and the Bay of Beaulieu. It is located 10 kilometres from Nice and Monaco. By road: access by the lower cliff road (RD6098). A free car-park is available on the site. GPS coordinates: latitude 43°6945937 - longitude 7°3292327. By bus: line 81, "Plage de Passable" stop. By train: Beaulieu-sur-Mer station - www.ter-sncf.com/paca By plane: Nice Airport.
